– Arrival at Athens International Airport, meet & greet and direct transfer to hotel for check in. Remaining of the day at leisure to rest or explore the city of Athens. Discover Plaka, the oldest district of Athens or enjoy free time for shopping at Ermou, Kolonaki and Voukourestiou streets.
– Overnight at hotel in Athens.
– Breakfast at hotel then depart for Athens Sightseeing tour and get introduced to the city’s highlights such as the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National library.
– On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and have a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the eternal Parthenon.
– Enjoy lunch at local restaurant (fee not included) and return to hotel; remaining day at leisure.
– Overnight at hotel in Athens.
– After breakfast at hotel, depart for full day excursion to Delphi. Located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi, once believed as the center, “Naval” of the Earth, is the home of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. At the oracle of Apollo, Pythia, the high priestess of the temple, under the influence of the ancient god Apollo delivered her famous prophesies. You visit the archaeological site and the museum, which hosts valuable pieces of art like the famous bronze charioteer.
– Enjoy lunch at local restaurant and photo stop at Arachova mountain village then return to hotel in Athens and overnight.
– Breakfast at hotel, depart for full day excursion to Peloponnese; leave Athens by the scenic coastal road and reach the Corinth Canal (short photo stop). Enjoy the imposing landscape in the Corinth Canal’s protected waters, one of the 19th Century world’s engineering masterpieces with history that starts as early as 602 B.C. Head to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city “rich in gold” of the ancient poets.
– Visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls and the Royal Tombs. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant then drive to Nafplion, a modern seaside resort and old town, is crowned by the mighty ramparts at the Palamidi Fortress.
– Last stop to Epidaurus with its 4th century B.C. theatre, famous for its astonishing acoustics. Return to hotel in Athens and overnight.
– Breakfast at hotel and check out; direct transfer to airport for departure flight. End of Service.
